"G" is for Gift and Glenda

My friend G, whose vintage things I have posted about previously,
gifted me this window made into a wall display.

She is very creative, thoughtful and giving.

It hangs in my kitchen holding a few of my ironstone pieces.

Thank you, again, Glenda

No particular theme

It is rainy here again today and I'm bored.  So I played with the blog thing a little bit.

Random shots.

This is definitely a "vintage" car.

For some reason I really liked it (my vintage twisted taste).

The month was October and it just seemed to fit the season -
Halloween, you know!

And more stuff!

No, really, I must get a handle on my things.  But, just not right now.

When it's cold in Alabama, there aren't many yard sales.  And where I live, the estate sales within a 100 mile radius are few and far between in good weather.  So I go to antique stores.
Yep, new this week.

I found all of these things in the same booth in a favorite store in Hartselle, Alabama.
Bella Vintage.

An ongoing theme "I already have one (or seven)"
Yes, another camera, another clock, another scale, another frog, another ironstone piece.

But, I don't already have French carbonated lemonade bottles.

and the tag on this said it is a pharmacist's scale.  I only have kitchen scales.  The patent date here is 1898.

Thinking of Hartselle gives me an idea for a future post - there is a great restaurant called Cahoots and while the food is great, it could probably stand on it's own as a museum of vintage things.  Literally everywhere you look is vintage eye candy.  Here is a teaser photo from a couple of years ago.

Attention please Ladies: This is the Ladies' Room
